The story of the bad review and the clever response continues…

(If you have no idea what I’m talking about, go back and read the past two posts.)

So, in the face of the neighbor’s negative review, the brewery owner did this…

He wrote a response that essentially said:

“Hi, neighbor! I’m sorry to hear you’re unhappy, and that we’re the cause of it. It was very important to me to make sure that our brewery did not negatively impact you and that we were great neighbors to you, which is why I came to meet with you before we broke ground. I loved meeting you and your awesome dog, who was your primary concern since increased traffic could mean increased barking, and without a fence, a potential safety concern. We were happy to provide the fence, and it was my understanding that you were completely on board with the solutions for the traffic, noise, and lighting that we implemented. I apologize if I misunderstood that. I would love to discuss these issues in person with you over a beer at the brewery (and any other issues that may arise along the way). In fact, we’ve decided to name one of our new beers after your dog, and we’d love for you to be the first to taste it! Or I’d be glad to bring it next door to you, and we can sit on the porch and chat. Either way, I look forward to talking with you.”
